CloseThe Midbar Winery is located in the northern part of the Negev Desert. Midbar — the Hebrew word for desert — is situated at just over 800 meter above sea level and its vineyards are planted in the white soils of Negev. The region's climate is hot and dry, but experiences a dramatic diurnal temperature shift, as well as a stark difference between winter and summer temperatures. These factors help develop grapes with high natural levels of acidity and a unique variety of aromas and flavors.
The Midbar Winery Southern White is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Chardonnay and Viognier grown in the Negev Desert in Israel. The wine displays a fine chalky minerality with subtle orchard-ripe tropical fruit flavors. Medium-bodied with a finely-honed acidity, the Southern White also has a wonderfully complex texture to compliment its racy structure.
