The 2015 Ca’ de’ Rocchi 'Dugal' is composed of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon / 30% Merlot and was aged in 5-2 hectoliter barrels for 6-8 months. This displays a dark, inky color and offers aromas of blackberries, cherries, smoldering tobacco, grilled herbs, balsam and hints of spring florals. On the palate this is full-bodied, plush and well structured with nicely polished tannins which expand onto the finish. Overall, this is a forward and expressive blend, which is primed for early approachability and should also continue to evolve over the next few years. (Best 2017-2023) - March, 2017 (JD)
